Do I need to have my ears checked before getting ear protection?
Yes. We recommend starting with an Ear Health Consultation to make sure your ears are healthy and free from wax blockages or other conditions that could affect comfort or performance.

What happens during an Ear Health Consultation?
An Ear Health Consultation includes a visual check of your ear canals and eardrums, plus a discussion about your noise exposure, lifestyle, and comfort preferences. This ensures your ear protection is tailored to your hearing needs and your daily activities.
How do custom earplugs differ from standard earplugs?
Custom earplugs are made from impressions of your ears, giving you a perfect fit, greater comfort, and optimal noise reduction for your specific needs. Standard (non-custom) earplugs are pre-made in set sizes and may not fit as snugly but can still offer effective protection in some situations.
Are custom earplugs better than off-the-shelf ones?
Custom earplugs are generally recommended for maximum comfort, consistent sound attenuation, and longevity — especially if you use them regularly. Non-custom options can also be effective for short-term or occasional use.
How long does the process take?
Your initial consultation usually takes about 20–30 minutes. If you’re getting custom earplugs, we’ll take impressions during your appointment, and your earplugs will be ready in approximately 2 weeks. A follow-up appointment will then be booked to check the fit of your earplugs, demonstrate how to wear them, and show you how to care for them properly.
Can I get ear protection even if I don’t work in a noisy job?
Absolutely! Many people use ear protection for hobbies, sleeping, live events, travel, or to manage noise sensitivity.
Will earplugs block out all sound?
No. Most earplugs are designed to reduce sound to a safe level, not block it completely. This allows you to still hear important sounds – such as speech or warning signals – while protecting your hearing.
Can I use the same earplugs for all activities?
Not always. Different activities require different levels and types of protection. For example, musician plugs preserve sound clarity, while industrial plugs focus on maximum noise reduction. That’s why we assess your needs first before making a recommendation.
Are these earplugs reusable and how long do they last?
Our custom earplugs are reusable and can last for 3-5 years with proper care. Non-custom earplugs are typically disposable and need to be replaced more frequently.

Do you offer WorkSafe-approved hearing conservation programs?
At this stage, we do not offer a full WorkSafe hearing conservation program. However, we provide hearing health assessments, counselling, and a wide range of ear protection options to help safeguard your hearing.
