Our Story
Milestone Hearing was created with a simple but powerful intention: to return to the heart of care — people.
After many years in the hearing industry, we realised that we no longer wanted our work to be dictated by KPIs and sales targets. We wanted to build something more meaningful — a clinic where connection, understanding, and trust come first. Where hearing care is not rushed, but respectful, human, and compassionate.
Many clients have told us that visiting us doesn’t feel like a typical medical appointment — and we take that as the highest compliment. What they’re experiencing is Pakikipagkapwa, a core Filipino value that runs deeply through our practice: the belief in genuinely seeing and treating others with empathy, dignity, and shared humanity.
This is also why we are called Milestone Hearing. Our vision is for people to not just hear better — but to truly celebrate life’s milestones with better hearing. Whether it’s a conversation over coffee, a grandchild’s laughter, or a wedding toast — every sound matters. Every moment is worth hearing.
At Milestone Hearing, we are here to walk with you, to listen, and to support you in your hearing journey — not just as clients, but as people with stories, experiences, and goals. That’s our story, and we’re honoured to be part of yours.
Our Vision and Mission
We envisage that ear and hearing health should not be taken for granted any longer where everyone will have the quality of life that they desire and deserve with better hearing.
We aim for everyone to be able to celebrate all the milestones in their lives with better hearing. Our mission is to provide the appropriate information, guidance, and support with ear and hearing health solutions to achieve lifestyle goals.
Our Core Values
We RESPECT individuality – WE RESPECT YOU.
We understand and appreciate that everyone is unique. We understand and acknowledge that you have your own needs, therefore, when we work together to achieve your goals, we are considerate of your emotions and perceptions towards the process, and your personal situation and capabilities regarding when and how you want to achieve your goals.
We are EMPATHETIC and COMPASSIONATE.
We listen to where you are coming from. We recognise and understand what and how you feel. Together we will create and implement solutions that are best suited to you.
We believe that INTEGRITY is fundamental to TRUST.
We are confident in the power of communication; this is how we demonstrate our integrity. We believe our integrity is defined by how we communicate through our interaction; this reflects how trust will be given to us.
We embrace DIVERSITY and INCLUSIVITY.
We have built a culture where we treat you as who you are. We believe that our differences and unique qualities bring us together in achieving our ultimate goals. We promote a culture where you will be heard and can freely express your individuality, are able to share your ideas and creativity, and are encouraged to contribute to each other’s growth.
We are PASSIONATE, RESPONSIBLE, and ACCOUNTABLE.
We consider ourselves zealous advocates of improved quality of life, especially with better ear and hearing health. We value who our clients are. We are proud of who our employees are. We ensure that their well-being is our priority; that is our duty of care. We take responsibility for our decisions and actions and work for the development of others.
Our Team
JOEY ANIN
Audiometrist and Director
Joey is a Qualified Audiometrist and the Co-Founder of Milestone Hearing, with two decades of experience in ear and hearing health. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Audiology from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and years of hands-on clinical practice both overseas and in Australia, Joey brings deep knowledge and compassion to every appointment.
His career began in hospitals and private clinics in Manila, where he worked closely with both children and adults, performing audiological assessments, balance testing, and hearing rehabilitation. Since moving to Australia in 2008, he has continued his work in the hearing care field, serving in various reputable national hearing clinics before establishing his own practice.
Joey is a full member of the Australian College of Audiology, a registered WorkSafe Victoria provider, and a Qualified Practitioner under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program. He holds a Competency Certificate as a Hearing Rehabilitation Specialist.
What sets Joey apart is not just his clinical skill but his approach. Known for being thorough, patient, and understanding, he takes time to ensure every client feels heard and supported. His clients consistently describe him as warm, respectful, and professional.
At the heart of Joey’s work is a strong sense of purpose grounded in the Filipino value of Pakikipagkapwa — the idea of genuine human connection and treating others with dignity, equality, and empathy. It’s a philosophy that defines the culture he’s building at Milestone Hearing.
Outside of work, Joey stays active in his community, including involvement with a local Filipino social club. His deep appreciation for learning, growth, and service continues to inspire the way he cares for others — both inside and outside the clinic.
ADAM HAYNES
Clinic Manager and Director
Adam is the Clinic Manager and Co-Founder of Milestone Hearing. With over 20 years of leadership and client service experience across health, government, and community sectors, Adam brings a grounded, people-first approach to every part of the practice.
He co-founded Milestone Hearing with a vision to deliver care that goes beyond appointments — where clients feel heard, respected, and treated like family. He was previously the Frontline Team Leader at a national hearing provider, overseeing 49 staff across Victoria and South Australia. His expertise spans service management, team development, compliance, and business operations — all driven by his love for helping people and building lasting connections.

When he’s not in the clinic, Adam enjoys cars, sports, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He’s also an active member of the local community — often the one behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly, both at work and in life.
