Milestone Hearing Turns Two
A Spontaneous Birthday Soirée!
On 21 August 2025, Milestone Hearing celebrated its 2nd birthday — and what a special day it turned out to be! This year’s celebration wasn’t planned weeks in advance; instead, it unfolded on a delightful whim, making it all the more memorable.
On 19 August, after her appointment and just before leaving the clinic, one of our dear clients, Jeanette, kindly invited Adam and I to lunch the following day. On our way home that evening, we realised that since our 2nd birthday was the day after the lunch date, why not turn it into a small celebration?
We quickly reached out to a few clients, and those who were available — Peter, Debbie, Sue, Amanda, Rod, and of course, Jeanette — joined us. The gathering was intimate, joyful, and genuinely heartwarming.
We enjoyed a buffet of assorted sandwiches, Chinese and Japanese dishes, and toasted with champagne while sharing stories over wine. And of course, everyone had a slice of the delicious passionfruit tart from Laurent — a perfect sweet finish to the afternoon.
Reflecting on the past two years, Adam and I are reminded of why we started Milestone Hearing. As we’ve shared on our website, our intention has always been to return to the heart of care — people. We envisioned a practice where connection, understanding, and trust come first; where every appointment is respectful, human, and compassionate.
Many clients have told us that visiting Milestone Hearing doesn’t feel like a typical medical appointment. What they’re experiencing is pakikipagkapwa — a deeply rooted Filipino value that guides our practice: seeing and treating others with empathy, dignity, and shared humanity.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re grateful to see our dream coming to life: returning to the heart of care, one client at a time. And truly, there’s no better way to celebrate than with the very people who make this journey meaningful every day.
We hope that in the future, we’ll be able to plan a proper birthday celebration — one where we can invite all our clients to join us in a special birthday and thanksgiving gathering dedicated to them.
To all our dear clients, thank you for your trust, support, and friendship over the past two years. Here’s to many more milestones — and many more shared moments of laughter, stories, and life’s celebrations!

Don’t Miss a Beat: 5 Signs Your Hearing Needs a Quick Check
Let’s be honest — most of us don’t think about our hearing until something feels off. And because hearing changes happen slowly, it’s easy to brush things aside or blame the TV, the acoustics, or that “mumbly” person you just talked to.
But your hearing plays a huge role in staying connected, confident, and in the loop. Catching changes early is a smart move – and an ear health consultation or a hearing test is easier than you think.
Here are five friendly signs that your ears might be hinting, “Hey… maybe it’s time for an ear health check or a hearing test!”
- “Wait, what?” is becoming your catchphrase
If you’re asking people to repeat themselves more often — especially in quiet, one-on-one conversations — your ears may be working a little harder than before. (Bonus sign: you pretend you heard something and laugh anyway – we’ve all been there!)
- Background noise turns every chat into a decoding mission
Restaurants, cafés, family gatherings — if these feel more like sound obstacle courses than social moments, your ears might be struggling to filter speech from noise.
Fun fact: This is one of the most common early signs of hearing changes.
- The TV or Music volume keeps climbing… and everyone keeps commenting
If the TV remote is practically your best friend because you keep tapping that volume up button, or your family tells you it’s “way too loud,” it might be time to investigate. A quick hearing test can show whether your hearing has changed.
- Everyone suddenly mumbles (or… do they?)
When words sound unclear — like you’re hearing the sound but missing the crispness — that’s your ears telling you they’re having trouble with clarity, not loudness.
This can make conversations feel tiring, which is a sign to give your ears a little attention.
- Your ears are ringing, buzzing, or doing their own little sound show
Tinnitus — that ringing or buzzing in your ears — is common, but it’s not something to ignore. Even if it comes and goes, it’s often a sign that your auditory system deserves a check-in.
Take Action Early — It’s Easier Than You Think
An Ear Health Consultation, which may include a hearing test, is simple, non-invasive, and provides a clear picture of your ear health. Whether your hearing is perfect or needs support, early detection ensures you stay confident, connected, and in control.
Don’t wait — book an ear health consultation or hearing assessment with Milestone Hearing today and keep your ears in top shape
