Hearing Screening and Full Assessments

Understanding your hearing starts with the right assessment.

We offer a complimentary Hearing Screening – a quick 10 to 15-minute check to see how well you hear sounds at different pitches and volumes. It’s a simple, no-pressure way to find out the level of your hearing and if a more detailed assessment is needed.

If further testing is recommended, a Full Assessment gives you a comprehensive understanding of your hearing health.

Curious about your hearing? Book a screening or full assessment and take the first step toward better hearing today.

Hearing Screening

A hearing screening is a quick and simple way to check how well you’re hearing. It’s ideal if you’ve noticed subtle changes, experience occasional difficulty hearing in noise, or simply want reassurance about your hearing health.

This screening provides an overview of your hearing levels and helps determine
whether a full hearing assessment is recommended, so you know what the next step may be.

Hearing Assessment

A Hearing Assessment is a comprehensive one-hour appointment designed to evaluate your hearing and ear health in detail. It involves:

  • Pure-Tone Audiometry – testing how you hear beeps of various frequencies and volumes
  • Speech Audiometry – measuring how clearly you recognise words at different loudness levels
  • Tympanometry and Ipsilateral Reflex Testing – checking your middle ear (including your eardrum) responds to sound and pressure, and assessing your ear’s natural reflexes to loud sounds

You’ll receive clear explanations, professional advice, and personalised recommendations to support your hearing needs – whether it’s hearing protection, assistive devices, ongoing monitoring, or long-term care.

We conduct full hearing assessments for adults and children aged 10 years and above. For younger children, we’re happy to guide you towards specialised services best suited to their needs.

Pensioners’ and Veterans’ Hearing Assessment

Eligible Pensioners and Veterans may access hearing assessments, support, and devices through the Australian Government’s Hearing Services Program (HSP). We can guide you through the process and ensure you receive high-quality care that supports your hearing needs.
